Additional projects were added to the list of roadwork for this week. And we keep adding to this story (so check back). Here’s where else to expect delays:

  • Washington Pike — There will be single-lane traffic restrictions throughout the day in both directions through Friday this week between Interstate 79 and Mayer Street in Collier. Starting Monday and continuing until 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, milling and paving will take place. From 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, single-lane restrictions will occur for signal work and line painting. And single-lane restrictions will be in place from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday for paving and connecting driveways. There also could be traffic stoppages of 15 minutes or less during this work. The work is part of the $5.6 million project to redesign the intersection of Washington Pike and Vanadium Road.
  • Noblestown Road — Crews will be replacing a catch basin near the intersection with Bartow Street in Pittsburgh from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, causing single-lane traffic restrictions.
  • Interstate 79 — Work on lighting around the highway in Robinson will cause shoulder restrictions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday. Work will be done in both directions between the Parkway West and I-79, on I-79 between the Parkway West and the Route 60 Moon Run-Crafton interchanges and on Route 60 at the I-79 interchange. The work is part of the $15 million project to improve the highway between the Parkway West-Pittsburgh interchange and about a half mile north of the Route 60 Moon Run-Crafton interchange.
  • Parkway East 1 — The shoulder on the inbound Parkway East will be closed from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday between the Edgewood-Swissvale exit and the Squirrel Hill Tunnel for work on a sign.
  • Parkway East 2 — The highway will be reduced to a single lane outbound overnight beginning Wednesday and lasting through early September. Crews will work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and Churchill making repairs to concrete bridge decks, approach slabs, asphalt and medians along the highway.
  • McKnight Road — The highway will have nightly lane closures as needed from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday between Venture Street in Pittsburgh and Babcock Boulevard in Ross while crews perform a variety of tasks as the $27 million project to improve the highway between Pittsburgh’s North Side and Perrymont Road in McCandless nears completion.
  • Patton Street — The Monroeville street that had been closed since June 9 for installation of a retaining wall and other work between Monroeville Boulevard and Mt. Pleasant Drive reopened Tuesday, about a month earlier than expected. Pugliano Construction Co., the primary contractor for the project, also paved the road, improved drainage, replaced signs, marked the pavement and replaced guide rail under a $487,774 contract.

Here’s some other roadwork that’s going on.
