Riverview Park Day this Sunday promises live music, delicious food, outdoor activities and family friendly fun.

This annual event — a partnership of the city of Pittsburgh, Friends of Riverview Park, Northside Leadership Conference and the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy — raises awareness and funds to support the preservation and enhancement of Riverview Park, according to a news release.

A free one-hour vinyasa yoga class of  all levels at 11 a.m. starts the day. It will be led by Stephanie Wukstrom in the Riverview Activities Building and is sponsored by the Counseling and Wellness Center of Pittsburgh along with Friends of Riverview Park and the conservancy. Participants are asked to bring their own mat and water bottle.

In addition to live music, the activities from noon to 4 p.m. include free hot dogs with other food available to purchase. Children can enjoy a bounce house, face painting and balloon making, according to the news release. Guided hikes will be offered to all to explore the park.

Riverview Park Activities Building is located at 142 Riverview Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15214.

More information is available on the conservancy website.
