Newspaper workers turned out to picket every day outside of the Post-Gazette’s North Shore office this week as they prepare for a bargaining session on Monday.

Support for the strikers came from many places, most often in the form of food deliveries. This week featured nourishment courtesy of friends in Chicago, the Toledo NewsGuild, County Councilwoman Bethany Hallam and the Indianapolis Newspaper Guild. Dog friends Vader and Dandy also visited the picket line for a few barks in solidarity.

Election Day was Tuesday, and striking Post-Gazette politics reporters Gillian McGoldrick, Julian Routh, Ashley Murray and Hallie Lauer came to the picket line to push for a fair contract.
