Pittsburgh Regional Transit riders who use the Red Line and need accommodations to get on and off light rail vehicles should avoid the inbound Overbrook Junction station through Sunday.

That’s because the agency is building a new ramp to the inbound platform at Overbrook to improve accessibility. As a result, the existing ramp will be closed from Tuesday through Sunday.

All inbound riders will have to use the outbound station to board light rail vehicles from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Riders who need accommodations will have to continue using the outbound station through Sunday because the temporary platform will only accommodate riders who need a flat surface.

Riders who need accommodations should use Blue Line or Silver Line rail cars at nearby Willow Station. Riders who need the Red Line and require accommodations should board at Castle Shannon or Washington Junction.

The new ramp should be available for all riders at the start of service on Monday.

Riders with questions should contact PRT Customer Service at 412-442-2000; on Twitter @PghTransitCare; or via live chat at www.ridePRT.org.
