Westbound motorists on the Pennsylvania Turnpike won’t be able to buy fuel at the North Midway Service Plaza in Bedford County for about two months beginning at 8 a.m. Monday.

That’s because 7-Eleven is replacing underground fuel tanks, fuel lines and dispensers at the plaza’s fuel pumps.

The turnpike recommends that motorists who need fuel stop before North Midway at Sidling Hill or after North Midway at North Somerset.

Restaurants, the convenience store and restrooms at North Midway will remain open during the work.

Fuel service should resume at North Midway in about eight weeks, early November.
