Buses that use the Martin Luther King Jr. East Busway will be delayed up to 20 minutes Saturday and Sunday because they will be detoured around the closed Negley Station during nine hours each day.

Pittsburgh Regional Transit said the closure will be between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. The closure between East Liberty Station and the ramp at Neville Street will allow crews to wash windows at the UPMC Assembly Building on Centre Avenue beside the busway.

As a result of the project, inbound and outbound buses will not stop at Negley Station. Instead, riders will be picked up and discharged on Ellsworth Avenue at Negley Avenue.
