As usual, a new week in spring means new road restrictions. Here are the details:
- Old William Penn Highway — The road will close from 7 a.m. Tuesday through 6 p.m. Friday between Evergreen Drive and Duff Road in Monroeville. The closure will allow crews to begin work to erect bridge superstructure for a bridge replacement on the Parkway East above Old William Penn. Detours will be posted. Old William Penn could be closed periodically for as many as 28 days during the construction season for activities such as demolition, beam erection and placing the new deck. The work is part of a $70.1 million upgrade to the Parkway East between Churchill and Monroeville through fall 2026.
- Boulevard of the Allies — The ramp from southbound Interstate 579 to the outbound Boulevard of the Allies will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night Monday through Thursday. Crews will do patching and sealing work on the deck of the ramp. Detours will be posted. A $35.4 million project to fix a series of ramps to and from the Boulevard of the Allies to the Parkway East will finish this summer.
