Springtime means new road restrictions for constructions projects all the time. Here are details on a few more:

  • Parkway West – Overnight ramp closures from the highway to northbound Interstate 79 will begin Thursday and last about a week from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. according to the following schedule: from the westbound Parkway West to northbound I-79 will occur Thursday and Monday with Tuesday as a backup day in case of bad weather and from the eastbound Parkway West to I-79 will occur Tuesday and Wednesday with Thursday as the bad weather day. Detours will be posted. The closures will allow crews to seal joints on the ramps as part of a $15 million project to improve the highway from the Parkway West Airport/Pittsburgh interchange to about a half mile north of the Route 60 Moon Run/Crafton interchange. Additionally, as part of the same project, southbound traffic on I-79 will have single-lane restrictions beginning this week while crews do concrete patching from 9 a.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday for seven of the next eight weekends: Friday; May 2, 9, 16, and 30; and June 6 and 13. No work will be done on Memorial Day weekend, which starts May 23.
  • Saw Mill Run Boulevard – The highway will have a single-lane restriction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday between Edgebrook Avenue and Whited Street in Pittsburgh. Frank J. Zottola Construction will be doing emergency sewer repair work for the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority.
