Another week, another series of traffic restrictions on local roads. Here’s the breakdown:

  • Lebanon Church Road – All westbound traffic in West Mifflin and Pleasant Hills will be shifted into the eastbound lanes at 9 a.m. Monday between Ceco Drive and Route 51. As a result, the eastbound lanes will have one lane of traffic in each direction through early August. The shift will allow crews to conduct waterline installation, drainage improvements, concrete road work, driveway adjustments, traffic signal foundation work, wall construction and paving operations in the closed westbound lanes. This is part of a long-term $28.2 million project to upgrade the highway from Ceco Drive in West Mifflin to Broughton Road in South Park Township that will see several other lane closures, weekend restrictions and traffic disruptions before it is finished in summer 2027.
  • Parkway East 1 – The highway will have overnight lane restrictions in both directions between the Churchill interchange and the Birmingham Bridge beginning Monday. The restrictions will be in various locations between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. through early July while crews conduct concrete and asphalt repairs, median barrier replacement and improvements and bridge deck work. Outbound work will be delayed until two hours after the end of a Pirates game or other major event in Pittsburgh.
  • Parkway East 2 – The highway will have an inbound lane restriction from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday between the Smithfield Street Bridge and the Fort Duquesne Bridge while crews survey the area.
  • Parkway West – There will be overnight ramp closures at the Parkway West-Interstate 79 interchange in Collier and Robinson from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday and Tuesday while crews install guide rails and attenuators, collapsible crash cushions placed to mitigate damage at locations where a vehicle may veer off the road. On Monday, the ramp from the inbound Parkway West to northbound I-79 will be closed and on Tuesday the ramp from northbound I-79 to the outbound Parkway West will be closed. Detours will be posted. The work is part of $12.6 million in improvements to the Parkway West between the Ridge Road and I-79 interchanges.
  • Highland Park Bridge – Inspectors will be examining the bridge from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. The work will result in single-lane restrictions on each side of the bridge but not at the same time.
  • Pennsylvania Turnpike – Crews have finished work sooner than expected on the ramp from Interstate 79 north to the turnpike at Cranberry, so ramp closures scheduled for April 28-May 2 and May 5-8 have been canceled.
