More weekend traffic restrictions were announced Friday. Here’s the latest on where not to drive this weekend:
- McKnight Road — Crews will begin nightly overnight paving on McKnight Road at 8 p.m. Saturday in Ross and McCandless. A single-lane restriction is scheduled from 8 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday on the southbound offramp to Babcock Boulevard, and there will be a single lane of traffic between Perrymont Road and Babcock Boulevard; from 8 p.m. Monday to 6 a.m. Tuesday, single-lane restrictions will be in place on the northbound on and offramps at Peebles Road, on the northbound offramp to Babcock Boulevard, and southbound McKnight Road will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between Perrymont Road and Babcock Boulevard; from 8 p.m. Tuesday to 6 a.m. Wednesday, southbound McKnight Road will be reduced to a single lane of traffic between Perrymont Road and Babcock Boulevard; 8 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday, outbound McKnight Road will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between Perrymont Road and the Westview/Babcock Boulevard interchange; 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday, southbound McKnight Road will be reduced to a single-lane of traffic between Perrymont Road and the Westview/Babcock Boulevard interchange. Motorists will have access to businesses and side streets in the corridor, and flaggers will be on duty to help direct them around the area.
- Parkway East – The highway will be reduced to one lane inbound through 6 a.m. Sunday from the Old William Penn Highway overpass in Monroeville to the Penn Hills exit, and the ramps at Penn Hills will be closed for repaving. The work actually began Friday night. Detours will be posted. Any unfinished work will be completed on Monday night. The work is part of the $70.1 million upgrade of the highway between Churchill and Monroeville.
